New Signing for Northampton Town
Ghanaian forward Nathan Opoku has signed a three-year contract with Northampton Town after the League Two club agreed an undisclosed fee with Leicester City.
Manager’s Confidence Drives Decision
Opoku, 25, said the manager’s belief in his ability to make an impact was a major factor in his move. "I spoke to the manager here, he told me how he feels I can impact the team and I believe I am a good fit for what he is trying to do here," he said.
Proven English Experience
The striker arrived with valuable experience in the English game, having spent last season on loan at Newport County. He scored six goals in 16 starts for the Exiles, finishing the campaign as their leading scorer.
Versatility and Pace
Opoku can operate across the forward line, offering Northampton another attacking option. His pace and versatility are expected to help the club’s final third.
Work Permit Pending
The move is subject to work permit approval.
