Chris Hogg was named as the new manager of Northampton Town after a successful recruitment process. He spent time coaching within the Ipswich Town academy setup before moving to Newcastle to take charge of the Under-23s in February 2020.
Why it matters for Northampton Town
Hogg's introduction to life with the Magpies was halted by a Covid-19 lockdown. He remained in charge of the United second string throughout the following season. Hogg told the Northampton Town website: “I am delighted to be named as the new manager of Northampton Town Football Club.
